Adirondack chairs abandoned lakeside. Kayaks tied to the car roof. Tweens puff on stolen cigarettes, plot to run away together.
Thank you, One Forty Fiction. Here’s a link to the first piece you accepted. (I didn’t have a Twitter account then.) http://www.onefortyfiction.com/archives/spring-love
Perfect title. Makes me feel 14 again. In a sweet, kind of sad way.
Well done, Stacy! Definitely has that “end of summer” feel to it.
Thanks for stopping by to check it out, Cathy and Madeline. Much appreciated!
Gosh, that brings back memories. Well done!
A perfect example of using words to show and not tell. Great visuals. Well done.
Thank you, Amy and Gayle!
At first I didn’t get it that the entire story was the cryptic 3 lines until I read what the website was about. “End of Summer” is great and captures the feelings of the end of summer vacation.
Love it! It does make me sad, though. Summer, please don’t go!
Thanks for checking it out, Connie and Cathy! Much appreciated!
